Beans vs Farmers

Melissa has warned us that after week 2 she will be going through refried bean withdrawal. She even learned how to say "I need beans" in Norwegian: Jeg trenger bönner. Seems easy, right? Not quite. It turns out that beans/bönner is almost identical in pronunciation to the word for farmers/bönder. Yeah. And it's almost impossible for any of us to hear the difference. For now, we're fine with saying whatever comes out. At least it's Norwegian.
